Head of General Medicine, Unit-2, PIMS, Islamabad

ROLE AS A CLINICIAN:
Department of general medicine deals with wide range of medical problems that’s why me and my team always share a major burden of patient care and support in day to day routine, in addition played a lead role in Covid pandemic and dengue epidemics, built a setup through an integrated approach to deal with challenges of current era, efficiently.
Despite the deadly environment of Covid pandemic constantly over period of 2 years, I continued teaching, training and capacity building of my team (comprised of faculty members, postgraduate/undergraduate medical students, Medical officers, nursing and technical staff) in areas of medical care, competencies, co-ordination, ormation and support for effective utilization of available resources to reach upto modern standards of patient care and built a good repot with other organizations.

ROLE AS ADMINSTRATOR:
Looking after all the administrative responsibilities as head of unit independently and in collaboration with head other team, including patient care, indoor and outpatient departments, teaching and training and supervision of nursing cell of department. In addition constant supervision and encouragement, motivation and mobilization of my team, colleagues, subordinates and peer for their share in process of hospital care services and adding quality to lives.

ROLE AS A TEACHER:
MBBS< BDS< PHYSICAL MEDICINE & REHABLITATION
Teaching and training of undergraduate Faculty of FMDC, and teaching various undergraduate teaching programs like BDS, physical medicine and Rehabilitation.

IMM< MCPS< FCPS< MD< FAMILY MEDICINE
Teaching involves postgraduate students of above discipline in general medicine both at PIMS, SZABMU and CPSP

ROLE AS EXAMINER
Prepare, organize and take both theory and clinical examination of undergraduate and postgraduate level both as external and internal examiner.

ROLE AS RESEARCHER:
Scientific and medical writing including scientific papers (original research, case reports, review articles, letter to editor etc.)
Arrange and supervise synopsis and dissertation writing of postgraduate medical students for both MD and CPS programs.

ROLE AS FOCAL PERSON DENGUE:
Built and supervise dengue clinical setup at PIMS, arrange and organize
